Nurse Par Excellence
Dr K S Prasanna, Dermatologist, Institute of Applied Dermatology, Uliathadka, Kasaragod, Kerala
Sheeba is a very sincere, hardworking staff nurse in IAD, with a dedication to the profession and empathy for patients. She is polite, well-behaved and well-mannered. She has maintained good relations with colleagues, is excellent at keeping official decorum, being a model for junior staff members and respecting senior staff members. She was a very good nurse counsellor in addition. Now she has resigned from IAD for a better opportunity and will be joining as a caretaker for dementia patients in the UK.
Sheeba is well known in IAD, to madam S J, as well as in our house. She joined IAD on the 26th of August 2016. So she has served 6 full years in IAD. Well-balanced, mature, and perfectionist are all the adjectives equally capable of describing her. Full of empathy, always ready to help the poor, needy patients, such is she. She has helped many patients by identifying their socio-economic status and was responsible for giving Sudha madam`s sponsorship. If we are wrong, she would point it out, so that the system would run smoothly, which in a way helped in IAD`s overall growth. She is the one who voluntarily agreed to serve during the first covid pandemic, March- April 2020. God has recognised her selfless service and given her this opportunity to serve as a caretaker to helpless, needy people.
Sheeba`s nursing service reminds us of the Hindi film Khamoshi (1969), which starred Psychiatry patients as Rajesh Khanna and Dharmendra and a caring nurse in the mental asylum by Waheeda Rehman. She is a nurse like Waheeda Rehman, but she kept one step in front of patients.
We thank
Sheeba for all the years of service that she has provided us and they have
indeed been invaluable. We now part with one of our most talented workers. We
wish her all the best. Best of luck to our dear Sheeba.
