IT in Hospitals….?

IT in Hospitals are always surprising to the world. But yes the future hospitals are to be fully digitalized beyond our imagination. In IAD, we have an IT department that plays a major role in the digitalization of the hospital. In IAD everything from the front end reception to the back end Administration is digitalized. The IT Team in IAD always makes use of the upcoming technologies in the world to make IAD uniquely digitalized. Our world is becoming advanced in technology day by day, so is IAD. Lesser paper works and more digitalization is our motto.
As a beginner, we started with excel sheets and now we
own our own customized Electronic Medical Record system known as ‘Bahmni’. So now, What is Bahmni? It is the medical record system
which keeps all medical record of patients who visits IAD and retrieves the
data in one click when a patient visits next time. Also, Bahmni integrates Pharmacy and Lab so the prescription
automatically reaches both the departments respectively before the patient
reaches those departments. No more searching and no more waiting that’s what we
offer.
We have approximately 6000 case records stored in Bahmni(excluding OP patients). Now comes
the question, Where they are stored? How they are retrieved? So we have the
answer here. We have our servers in IAD. We have main servers as well as backup
servers. There we are foreseeing the future and keeping a backup always. We
have an efficient team for collecting, evaluating, and organizing data.
Now comes the next important question. Lots of data
kept on the server. What about security???? Yes, we also have an answer to
this. We have a very strong firewall installed in our network. Also, we keep
track of each system in our network to avoid mischievous things from happening.
All the systems are password protected as well as require admin permission for
anything new in the system. So we don’t allow any intruders to get into our
system and get our data. Our data are always safe and secure.
We always move with the future and we are still
developing.
